Cortney Perrine is a practicing Massage Therapist. She graduated Birmingham School of Massage in 2011. Along the way, she realized her clients would benefit from more than just massage. Many of them needed to develop their own flexibility by learning functional movement patterns and, strengthening their Mind-Body Connection. Cortney wanted to be able to give her clients more in depth care. She took her education further. In 2018, she graduated HereNowYoga YTT and began teaching yoga and breath work. Through teaching movement and seeing the great relief it brought her clients, this inspired Cortney to go further and eventually obtain her Somatic Movement Certification through Kinesa. This she believed was the missing piece in so many peoples lives. As she taught, she saw her clients chronic issues get addressed in a new way.
After the birth of her 3 daughters, Cortney discovered her passion for helping mothers. Prenatal/ postnatal recovery, and improving the function of the pelvic floor became her new area of focus. This lead her to Pilates teacher training.
Cortney is a well rounded teacher, having many modalities to integrate into her work.
Cortney is passionate about helping people move through life without pain. She believes movement is fundamental to a full life, that movement should be fun, challenging, and creative. She brings an element of play, and exploration to all of her classes.
